Cuenca is like a warm apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This is a town of cozy contrasts, children’s delight from the landscape that formed the place and from the streets that subdued the surroundings. I saw this lady in a red dress and a white hat, she was hurrying somewhere on business or to church, and I wanted to make her my symbol of Cuenca. This is how the nostalgic journey of the Lady in Red appeared — more like a dream than a trip report.
