“Fanny and Alexander”

This is an oil on canvas, 110×60 cm, painting depicting a shot from Ingmar Bergman’s film Fanny and Alexander, which depicts the moment of Alexander’s “interrogation” by his stepfather. This moment sublimates the contrast of the change in the children’s lives after moving into the pastor’s home. The bright, theatrically detailed home of their father and grandmother contrasts with the puritanical asceticism of the pastor’s house. a world of permissiveness, love and joy as opposed to the harsh, cold world where there is no room for human love.

“Dangerous Liaisons”

Oil painting on canvas, 110×60 cm, depicting a pivotal scene from Stephen Frears' 'Dangerous Liaisons', where the main character deliberately impales himself on a sword, signifying his demise. This powerful image accentuates the dark aspects of human nature while simultaneously presenting a life-affirming moment, suggesting that love has the power to purify and elevate even the darkest, most 'lost' individuals. The artwork’s intense emotional resonance and symbolic depth are conveyed through dramatic lighting and poignant composition.
